I am paying $130/month for an 07 Dodge Ram 1500 V8. I have multicar, home, and good driver discount with Farmers. $500 deductible with full coverage. Paying high premiums is a myth in AZ. Just have to do a little research.

That's bs. If you took your truck over to Ohio you'd be paying half as much! $130 is a lot in other states!

I have State Farm and I have two cars insured with $500 deductible for collision and full coverage for everything else including comprehensive, towing and car rental. A 2006 PT Cruiser and a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I pay a total of $90 per month.

Yea, that's why I said good luck getting them to follow up on a complaint. I've never been too fond of MVD's "enforcement". I know they actually do some enforcement, they managed to shut down a crooked used car dealer in Apache Junction awhile back. Overall though, I think they are a sad joke, especially when it comes to citizen complaints.

That's good! I should add that mine is a bit higher as I have a $250 deductible, and 100/300/100 coverage.

One Down, YIKES that is expensive! We had 2 new BMW's insured for less than that. Holey Moley! Have you looked around?

Now AZ loafer, your deal sounds pretty good. I like Nationwide but I think I have to transfer when I move.

Oh what about tags? How much are they there? Here (Ohio) I just got 2 sets of Vanity plates for $90 each. I think regular plates are $55-60 (about).

I think one down's payment is pretty good for a 22 yr male.

You ask about registration/tags? It's "about" 2% of the current value of your car (yes, it gets expensive with new cars). So, if you have a $30k car, your reg would be around $600 for one year. As the car ages the cost goes down.

Vanity plates are $25 per year (just to have the vanity).

With a Dodge Ram, he'd be paying big bucks here in the Detroit area. They are stolen left and right by 14 year old kids.

I missed that One was 22yrs old. So I guess that is OK then.

Wow tags are expensive. No one complains to their politicians about that? I would think Ohio would have more road care than AZ. What do they use at an excuse for those prices?

That just hurts the economy in the long run because no one wants to buy a new car and then the state looses the tax that they woudl collect off the new car sales. So how are they winning?

Do you know how long before I have to get AZ plates when I arrive?

Thanks!
