Default coconino county info.

hi, i am new here to these boards. my hubby and i are interested in relocating to valle az. in coconino county. we are interested to learn about the education there. we have a 9 yr old girl and both our boys will be in college. my hubby is aslo wondering about employment. we hear that a new amusement park will be built in the area and that many housing developements are being built. at the present time, we live in connecticut and have been here all our lives. any information we can get about the area would be greatly appreciated. we bought a lot in the grand canyon subdivision. at the present time, there is no electric, phone, or water. we would be interested in solar power. we are told that water has to be delivered to us. this is new to us as we have a well here in ct. also, i would like to have a stucco house built. is this popular in the area? (my hubby was interested in log cabbin. well, sorry about the long thread. thank you, any advice would be great. patti

I don't know much about the Valle area, except that it is very rural and does not have water. There are water companies that deliver water to some areas, such as Parks, and perhaps they will do that in Valle as well. Williams does have a small amusement park planned, and will probably experience some amount of a boom because of it. There was news a couple of years ago that the amusement park was going to heflp increase the water supply for Williams. If I were you, with a 9-year old daughter, I would consider living closer to civilization, such as in Williams, Flagstaff, or Parks. The Parks school is excellent -- it's very small, and the town seems to be very close-knit. Be careful of very rural areas such as Valle, where somewhat strange people might move just to be away from people. I would check out the crime in that area. This probably wasn't very helpful... hopefully you can visit the area and see what I mean.

I would stay FAR away from the schools in Flagstaff, unless you plan on a private or charter school. The schools here are awful!
