I agree! I've been in the Kingman area three times in the last couple of months and was VERY impressed with the whole area. I've been through there a gazillion times over my lifetime but never really paid much attention. It was a place to go through to get from Point A to Point B. This time I tried to pay attention! I know the area has had quite a bit of rain this summer and it shows. Extremely GREEN everywhere and I love that. The mountains are gorgeous as is most of the area around there. Love the rocks and formations between Kingman and Laughlin.

All three of my trips up there were WET! Got caught in quite a few really hard storm cells. Only had to pull off the hiway once but....!! Mostly I got hit around Seligman. Whew!

I have been to Kingman two times, 2010 and 2011. Last year I stayed 9 days. I really liked the area. Am planning on moving there in the not too distant future. Right now I'm not sure what part I want to live in. Really would like to be in the desert, I'm single, no kids, and love the solitude. I checked out the area north of town, not Stockton Hill but I think it was further east. Lots of open land, most large lots for sale. But I still need to get back out there to scout out more locations.

What are the restrictions if any, on full time RV living in Mohave County? This is my first option that I am considering at this time.

I am not 100% sure but some parcels/ areas are zoned for that usage. some areas allow living in a rv while building your home.follow the link to enquire further for zoning in Mohave County. City would be different

I have never been a fan of Kingman. Almost a total lack of jobs. Little to no culture or entertainment options. It seems to be more than a little run down and trashy, lots of homeless panhandling. Drugs seem to be a problem, especially for such a small population. IMO, unless something is forcing you to live in Kingman there are much better places to live in AZ.

WOW Sco quite a post on a city you don't seem to know much about. No matter were you live you will find the same situation.
But you insinuate its all over Kingman which it is defiantly not. Plenty of jobs if you just take your time and actually come visit.
Negatively responses like that are not wanted or appreciated for us in Kingman

I stand by my post 100%. I never understand why posters get all upset about someone else's opinion.

You obviously like Kingman, I don't. As I said, unless you have to live in Kingman, there are much better alternatives.

Like I said, I have been twice, nine days last year. I talked to several people who live there and got positive feedback. One fella, who owns a tattoo parlor, Hispanic guy, told me quite a bit. Told me about the good areas and the bad. Told me plus's and negatives of the desert areas. Any town/city you live in has good and bad areas. Ask me about Indianapolis, and I don't live there! lol!

I talked to a Kingman area real estate lady, got a lot of info from her also. And in my time there I covered a bunch of Kingman, and I like it. Now I know it's not a big city, I don't care for big cities. Never lived in Indy, but worked in it. Spent my share of time in the seedy parts, I know what it's like. Spent a lot of time with Indianapolis Vice, no, I'm not LEO, leave that to your imagination. So I know what I'm dealing with.

I'm looking for a place to retire to that has plenty of solitude and out of the ratrace. I like quiet. I DO appreciate the info and opinions from all of you. Keep it coming. Thanks!

Oh and while I was there, I was very entertained, several nights at the Dam Bar. Good place IMO.
