Taxpayers, and homeowners in particular, end up seeing a large increase in their tax bill and water bill.

Well, the last I have heard, the cost for the pipedream, I mean pipeline is $300 million. In addition, a $30 million dollar arsenic water treatment plant must be built. So, they are now at $330 million dollars. Hmmm...when they first started this disaster, they were estimating $100-$150 million. When all is said and done, they will be at 1/2 a billion dollars. The water bills out here will be insane!!!!

Anyone hear about a casino project in the four corners region having problems with the investors money not going to the investment? Same ties with the Williams project.

How far north are they planning on putting it? It had better be somewhere where its not brutally hot. The kids will be out in summer and noone will want to stand in line when its 115 degrees out. LOL I know, I visit the Six Flags up here every few years, and its always in summer when its 85 degrees out. Standing in line for 2 hours in that kind of heat is miserable. Id imagine theyd compensate and put in misters for a park in AZ, but I hope they put it up somewhere near Prescott or maybe Flagstaff (but then it would be too cold in the winter)? Sorry, I was lazy and didnt click on the link. LOL

Theme park update
There will be 4 areas in the park: Rt 66,
a virtual reality ride over the Grand Canyon, a Frontier
Village, and a Tribal Village. There will be an open
space outdoor amphitheater for events like Renaissance
Faire and concerts. Casey said they have contracted for
over 300 acres in Garland Prairie. George Cordova said
the site has freeway access and will control traffic from
town. They are in the process of building the special tax
district and by legislation 60% of the project must be in
No. AZ. The entire bond will be privately held and have
not financial impact locally.They expect
to break ground in spring 2008.

1200 permits for new homes in the very soft homes market? The amount of existing homes going on the market has climbed and climbed and it is now a buyer's market. Do these developers not see the market downturn? Interest rates are hinting at another upward climb. :::::shaking head:::: Developers so want the market of the last two years but it just isn't happening.
