It's sad for Williams and surrounding areas, but the news is that this thing is dead, Elvis dead. Meaning, that there will always be "rumors and sitings" but this thing is DOA. It will not happen. There were too many issues going on and with todays conservationists, they did not want this thing to pass. It all comes down to money, too much to build, not enough projected to come-in.

Let us bury this thing with the dignity it deserves...

R.I.P. theme park

Nov. 18, 2007 08:31 PM

Two years after Arizona changed its laws and developers proposed building an amusement park on the road to the Grand Canyon, the idea remains just that.

Default Theme Park may break ground in 2008

It looks like the Theme park may be smaller but it still ALIVE.
Check out this link.

Town clock, treatment plants and Hells Angels

GCNAE said the park may break ground as early as spring of 2008, but cautioned that it depended on a number of variables, including funding and county approval.

It looks like the Williams Theme park is moving forward and another Theme Park will be built in Phoenix!!!!!!!!!! see article link below

Theme Park gets financial backing

Officials with Grand Canyon Northland Amusements and Entertainment (GCNAE) made a special presentation to the Coconino County Board of Supervisors Jan. 8 in Flagstaff. GCNAE representatives unveiled their financial partners, Republic Urban Properties, L.L.C., for the themed park, long proposed for the Williams area, as well as for the proposed themed park planned for an area in west Phoenix

One has to admit with 5+ million people visiting the Grand Canyon and passing by Williams both ways that if you gave them a reason to stop,it would add up to a lot of money being pumped in to the local Williams economy. That is something to laugh about all the way to the bank.
