Good for You...
I happended to register today to see about getting info for spending winters in Yuma (I am from Canada) and saw your posting and the replies to it. I just want to say good for you...you seem to have a great attitude and sense of humor about your lack of dating issue...smiles. As you say if it is meant to be it will be and you will bump into your "meant to be" in the place you will least expect.
Take care..

Yeah, pretty much the really good looking (read: have had major work done>) older women are looking for a much younger man and the rich guys are looking for their trophy girlfriend. Everyone else is screwed... LOL

I'm hoping that when I move to AZ there will be a better selection of men for a very attractive 50 year old, young-looking and young at heart, 5'5", brown-eyed blonde to meet! A good looking 50 year old will in Az will be driving a sports car and looking to pick up chicks on Mill Ave
If you are 45 and 50 you'll do well in Sun City or Sun Lakes.

Dunno about that.... I've had interested guys up to 10 years younger than me... Was a bit puzzled since I've never been attracted to younger ones (not even my age), but past certain age it doesn't seem to matter so much. Obviously 20 and 10 aint' gonna work , but later in life we're not that different.

Must be the "strawberry blond" hair you seem to like so much!
Not that it's a sin , but unless you're a tolerant non-smoker, it's not necessarily an advantage! OK, it IS in THIS country... I'll give ya that!

vice-versa!
Diecastcarguy, I know exactly what you are talking about except the other way around! I am a 42 year old widow and the men my age all want either younger or older women. I just want to find a man that doesn't need to be train or one that I don't have to change their diapers. What ever happened to spending time with someone, falling in love and growning old together....you know: one man and one woman forever!

The women in there 50's are into older men. What gives ??? I can understand the whole married 20 years, Ex cheated with younger women and now its there turn thing but ALL OF THEM ?
Sorry maybe this isnt the right board...... I posted something like this on Craigslist and got either mean women or ones saying yeah..... your too old, LOL.
Before choosing here to move too I was looking at So Cal. I decided that unless your rich rich rich or a super stud and into silicone and botox that a guy like me would NEVER get a date. So I chose here and love it. Love it but.... I cant believe the slim pickings on the dating scene.
Not sure if im looking for comments or just ranting. Maybe a little of both.
Happy holiday alone again weekend, LOL.

I love my fat old man and would be very uncomfortable with a younger one. Probably not as uncomfortable as the young man.

LOL! I used to be just naturally not attracted to younger guys in the past (maybe now I'm old enough for that to change ), but this aspect of the deal has occurred to me... Even though looking good is important to me, I might be a little lazy for trying to pretend to be younger all the time. Then again, as a much older coworker of mine says "they don't make them as they used to" when we were talking about a new 25-years old coworker who appears to have less energy than either one of us... He's supposed to perk us up... instead he's dragging us down. It's pathetic! He's a good kid, but c'mon...

Check out Meetup.com
There are LOADS of singles groups of all ages. A few friends of mine have become members and they are having a great time - meeting many like-minded people. It not only is a good place to find a potential 'friend' of the opposite sex or someone looking for a permanent relationship - it is a grand place to meet people of your own sex who can become a 'friend base' to share experiences with.
For those moving to Arizona, what better way to meet people than in a forum where you are not one-on-one and jumping from date to date in an attempt to meet someone compatible?
Good luck. And browse the meetup categories. They have brief explanations of their interests.
