Default We are moving to Az. can we take our pitbull?

We are moving had heard there was a law that banned pit bull in Az. He has been with the family for 7 years we have four young kids that he has been around and we have not had any problems with him. Just need to know if he can move with us. Thanx

My sister in-law has a full breed pit bull and it has tags it's registered. She lives in East Mesa.

Thank you! I had not thought to call them. We have to make sure he is up-to-date on his shots and get him registered and we will be good to go.

No.

Keep in mind, I don't technically have the authority to tell you "no". But you asked.

Are you going to buy or rent? I had a prospective renter begging me to let him rent from me because he had a pit bull, every other property that he called said no. The liability issue and the ability to get insurance may determine where you live.

There is no BSL in Arizona that I am aware of. You may have problems if you plan on renting however. Are you sure he is not an American Bulldog? Those two different breeds look a lot alike.

Depends - if your name is Michael Vick, then the answer is no

Like the others said, the only problem could be renting. Many apartments and landlords won't allow dogs with "aggresive" reputations.

To give the guy credit who wanted to rent my property, he had gone out and gotten extra insurance specifically to cover any damages that a pitbull may do. You might want to do your homework with an insurance company before you start to look at houses.
