There seems to be some concern over the Romney Campaign trying to keep this story from coming out. Apparently they made up some story about the Sheriff having a crazy relaative who was making it all up in order to get papers not to publish the story.

Babeu wouldn't even be the first openly gay Republican that AZ has sent to Congress. That was Jim Kolbe.

Currently, Arizona is the state with the most openly gay candidates running for US congress. We have 4. Babeu, Sinema, Heinz, & Aboud.
