Benson is a quiet small town with beautiful views, very peaceful. You can go to sierra vista or tucson for more shopping, etc.

Ajo--Interesting town square.
Benson--Not much there, though the fiberglass cartoon characters at Foster's Freeze are weirdly fun.
Bisbee--Cool little urban artist enclave. Nice place to visit, don't know about living there.
Camp Verde--Almost commuting distance to Phoenix or Flagstaff.
Coolidge--Ehhhh
Douglas--Kind of a hole.
Eagar/Springerville---Do you tithe?
Eloy--Truck wash
Florence--Owned a house there for a while. Sold it at a loss. Still trying to get the cow smell off of my stuff.
Globe/Miami--Slag
Kingman--It was good enough for Terry Nichols and Tim McVeigh . . .
Mammoth/San Manuel--Slag
Parker--Boats, beer, smelly armpits, 120 degrees and 80% humidity.
Safford--railroad crossing
Show Low--Quick Mart
Snowflake/Taylor--Worlds largest pig farm. Seriously. Look it up.
Willcox--What-cox?
Winslow--Shocking how nasty this place is considering where it is. It's the anti-Mayberry.

I guess everywhere is crap, except for where you live.

#1 - Kingman - Larger than most of the other towns mentioned, and it's not too far from Vegas. It's also really close to Bullhead City/Laughlin.

#2 - Showlow - Beautiful scenery in the White Mountains. Close proximity to other communities such as Pinetop. Close to Sunrise Ski Resort as well.

#18 - Coolidge - Just a dusty, dirty town with really nothing significant to offer. It's too far from the Phoenix metro to be convenient and too close to be considered it't own place.

I was in Coolidge and it's indeed sad looking. Kingman def looks a whole lot nicer. Showlow, I've never been there so I can't say.
