I found some substances based on cedar oil that supposedly works. The 2 companies are Wondercide and Cedarcide. I'm now trying this out with the ticks, fleas, mosquitoes etc. in my area. Seems to be working well. Won't know how it does on other critters till I get to AZ.

OK, son will have a new baby soon and finds scorpion on regular basis climbing on walls, under clothes, etc. I am freaking out about scorpions getting into the crib. They are putting glass bowls under the legs of the crib and keeping it away from the walls. Will this work? Their dog eats the cats, but not the scorpions.

Dog eats cats?
If you have a dog that eats cats, you'd better worry about the baby.
Most dogs will chase cats, but if one is indeed "eating" them, that is a big warning sign.

I know you need to eliminate the scorpions food source to help keep them away. Has anyone used anything with any success in keeping the scorpions at bay?

Best repellent is a Meerkat family living in your yard

Baby Scorps
Hi scorp haters, yesterday I found a baby scorp out in front of the house, if there is one, then there are way more where that one came from, that you can't see, best to track them in the evening with a black light and use a spray to terminate them. This is the season, hot, humid, and rainy, just what those critters like.

you live in the desert, can't you just deal with things without having to kill them? Scorpions were there before you were, they are part of the ecosystem as well as the black widow. Move into a plastic bubble with a can of lysol if living beings other that humans scare you too much.

I grew up in the outskirts of Buckeye, surrounded on 3 sides by farm fields, and my driveway being a 1/5 mile long desert strip. I knew scorpions. Just get a cat. the first scorpion is gonna make him sick, but he will be alright. After that, you will never have a problem again. My cats loved scorpions for some reason. Also, in Arizona, wear shoes.
