Talking Phoenix suburbs vs Tucson suburbs for Foodies like us?

I have started a thread on where to move with a workplace located in eloy.
We are looking into casa grande vs marana types and we are willing to travel to the nearest big city for delish food.
I would say husband and I are foodies, so which side of eloy do you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Phoenix side. You'd have to go all the way in to Tucson for anything in the way of restaurants; toward Phoenix from Eloy there are more options, without going all the way to Phoenix. A true "foodie" is not going to find much in Eloy or Casa Grande, but there are more restaurant options on the CG side, heading up into Chandler and Gilbert.

Phoenix is simply bigger - much bigger - than Tucson and therefore has more choices.

For this issue there is really no competition.

Definitely Phoenix. As stated, it's much larger and therefore there are many more choices.

However, with that said, there are enough restaurants in Tucson to keep you going to a different place once/week for years.

Here is a brief list of Tucson & Phoenix restaurants. This list is nowhere near all inclusive.

if you are foodies who have a real interest in Asian food, you need top find home reasonably accessible to the East Valley of Phoenix.

In no particular order, since they are all pretty close to one another and offer the same thing: Chandler, Gilbert and South Tempe.

If you are willing to drive a bit more, add East mesa and South chandler, (ocotillo).

If you have bucks, look at north Scottsdale. But understand that "ethnic" becomes "trendy" in that area. Not necessarily a bad thing, just be aware of it.

Phoenix over Tucson any day. Phoenix's suburbs have some of the best choices for dining, especially Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, etc. As others have said, choices in Tucson are more limited, and are found more inside town than in the suburbs. Besides, Tucson doesn't really have a whole lot of "suburbs", unless you want to count the adjacent towns on the north side like Marana, Casas Adobes, and Oro Valley.

I have been reading some of the food forum and it does seem like Phoenix side of eloy has the better choices.
