Default Moving to Kingman

My boyfriend has accepted a job at the Black Mountain Power Plant and we will be arriving in about 3 weeks. Can you help me with info and the names of some really nice RV parks in the area? We do not want to live with the "trailer trash" mentioned in other posts on this forum but are looking for something nice with lots of room. We would also consider a private lot if all the hookups are already there. Thanks for any help.

If no reply; PM either kdog or ram brush.......both live in the Kingman area and know the 'lay of the land'

I used to live there but it has been a while.

No, I don't know the lay of the land yet. What's her name?

Ok, this is a toughie. I've only been in Kingman for a year, and no need for an RV park, so I really don't know too many. The ones that I've seen are not particularly nice. The problem is, this is the desert. The trailer parks I've seen are basically on swatches of sand with no shade, or much of anything other than lined-up RVs. I can keep my eyes open for you. Or if you've done some research and know any names of RV parks, I could drive by and snap a picture and post it for you.

Now if he doesn't mind a 1 hour commute, there are some phenomenal RV parks in Lake Havasu City, right on the lake. But yeah, that's kind of far.

I think KOA campground has plenty of shade and maybe the best bet.
The other is down the hill off of route 66 before shinerump road.
Oh yes can't forget the one or 2 in Golden Valley right off of Hwy 68
More will come to mind but these to come to mind 1st if that makes any sense

This I will say:

As the Phx area continues to deteriorate; the Kingman area is looking better and better all the time---------drawbacks and all.

In retrospect: most of my problems in Mohave County (in particular Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, not so much Kingman admittedly) were due to my not following my gut re: certain situations-------in particular buying/not buying vehicles. Long story, shall we say and I am still cleaning up the financial mess from my bad decisions.

Oh well; boo-hoo on me

Suffice to say: when housing prices dip even further downward (1-2 years); then it will be time.

I don't know how good any of these are, but here is a list of RV parks and campgrounds. It might be a good place for you to start your research, you can call them up, etc.

Ah; yes, Beale St depicting Metcalfe Park on the right side in the first pic and the former Mohave County Sheriff's Department in the last photo

And the middle picture shows the older HS.

I appreciate the offer but I would not ask you to go out of your way to check out the parks for me. We will be there soon enough and do the drive-bys ourselves. An hour drive is a little far if you dirve a truck that only gets 10 miles per gallon. Love the pics, that looks like a fun time.
