Default Are their any $12.00 hour jobs in Lake Havasu City AZ ?????

Me and my wife are thinking about moving to Lake Havasu City AZ, my job I can do probably anywhere but dont think I will do as good in Lake Havasu but willing to give it a try !

My wife currently works for assisted living and a manager their and been doing it for almost 14 years, she is currently making $12.00 a hour back in Montana, she called around at the assisted living places in havasu and they told her they start out at $8.00 a hour ????

She also thought of being a CNA and going to school for that to try to make $12.00 a hour, she called the college and they stated that the hospital starts out at $9.00 a hour !!!

We are pretty shocked, were we come from mcdonalds starts out at $9.50 a hour, the question I have is are their any $12.00 hour jobs in Lake Havasu without going to school for quite a few years ????

resort areas are horrible for wages. Resort areas in AZ, even more so. The high school I work at has a CNA Program, the students can attend for free. I know a few making 11-12 per hour. I l;lived in BHC for 15 months, and was making 65 usd per day as a degreed Substitute Teacher.

I think it's going to be like that anywhere in AZ. Phx is the same way and it's a big city! the pay is just NOT good here.

So, why LHC? I went there for a weekend over NYE and came home the next day!! The only thing I liked about it was the London Bridge. I would never live in a spring break haven.

The pay may not be as good in AZ, but think of it this way, you get to live in a beautiful state and make decent money at Lake Havasu. As far as I am concerned, Lake Havasu City is still a money-making market and still has as much potential as areas like Encinitas, CA and Huntington Beach, CA.

This is really interesting, I currently work in the travel industry. I have been looking at moving to Lake Havasu city just because it's so reasonably priced and offers the lifestyle I like. I currently live in Seattle and cost of living is unreal - I also hate the terrible weather. So here's my question, is there any concierge/sales type positions in Lake Havasu? Can anyone guide me to some websites that could help me with a job hunt? Craigs list doesn't have much (at least that I have found)

Thank you!!

There seems to be quite a few jobs listed on monster.com. Did you try that?

Concierge as in hotel? No, you won't find that sort of thing in LHC--it's mostly chain motel type places, except for a couple slightly larger properties. Sales? depends on what kind of sales-- if you mean hotel sales, there's not many of those positions to start with, openings would be rare.
