I've recently applied for a position with MCC and I'm wondering how tough my competition will be.
The position (non-faculty) requires a Masters degree + experience (which I have). I currently reside in the Phoenix metro area and would relocate if offered/accepted the position. Do they often look outside of the area to fill positions? Is MCC just as competitive as most of higher ed? Thoughts? Insider input? Thanks ![]() |

I don't know about Mohave, but I do know a lot about the other community colleges. It is SOOOOO competitive!!! I have applied for years to get in to no avail. If another position opens up near me I may apply one last time. It's funny, every year or two that I applied I had more education and experience since the last application.
I don't see why they wouldn't take someone from Phx, it's not like taking someone from Alaska. ![]() |

I would say go for it, nothing to loose
The lower facility maintenance positions never paid well but I had heard the faculty where a good place to be. |
