Default Kingman Report! I Just Left There~

So I am still on vacation (Scottsdale) but I wanted to write and clear up a few things about Kingman.

I just spent a couple days driving around, looking at homes and shopping centers, etc. There was someone in here that said it was all double wide trailers. Well, while there is an area that there were trailers, there is 80% that is very nice. The trailers we saw looked like they were senior parks and were well maintained.

I saw very few old cars, it seemed like most were driving newer cars. I also noticed that most people were Caucasian and appeared to be middle class. Not hillblilly type at all.

I saw one drunk Mexican pregnant girl standing on a corner with a glass. She was the ONLY drunk/druggie I saw.

There is a Walmart, Walgreens, Chili's, Toyota dealer, Honda dealer, they are building a free standing starbucks with a drive through. I was looking at homes that were for sale that were $350,000-$750,000.

The Kingman Regional Medical Center is impressive and appears to be a nice size facility.

I didn't see graffiti, I appears clean, safe and like there is a lot of building and growth.

Starbucks spends millions on demographic studies. They wouldn't be building there if they didn't know that Kingman is headed for great growth and have the people who were willing to pay $5 for a cup of coffee.

We are 100% thrilled and going to look into moving to Kingman.

Great town and friendly people.

Anyway, that is my take on it.

I'm pretty picky and my hub and I drive new BMW's so it's not like we are hillbillies.

Just my opinion and I hope I didn't offend anyone.

The only issue you may have is getting any European car/truck repaired in Kingman.

LOL Oh we are getting rid of the BMW's and getting Prius's. We're sick of them and they are less than a year old.

I just wanted to make a point because I knew those negative people would just assume I was some hillbilly driving a pickup truck with plastic taped on my missing windows and a gun rack in the back and that is the only reason I liked Kingman. LOL

I just loved the feel of it. I was expecting trailers in the middle of a dirty hick town. I was thrilled when I saw the town. Great place!

There are some good values in that range in this town. Be sure to check out Rancho Santa Fe if you haven't done so. Lazy Y U like Rambrush mentioned is really cool if you like you like big open spaces and being a bit more isolated.

Congrats! Be sure to say hi next time. I'm the guy with the pickup truck with the missing windows and the gun rack!

Selling the Beamers for Prius's? Sick of them? How can you be sick of a BMW I bet you get more sick of the Prius.

Anyway wishing you well

Very simple:

By and large; European cars basically fall to pieces by 100K miles without $$rigorous$$ maintenance whereas most modern Detroit Three/Asian brand vehicles tend to hold up much better even at 150K miles.

I know of what I speak of: I am in the auto repair field.

And in Kingman: there are no Euro brand new car dealerships------the closest are in Las Vegas, 100 miles away.

Fixed it for you.

Honda and Toyota are good foreign car choices in town because of local dealers. Sure, there's a Hyundai dealer too, but....
