Funny you say that cause I was in Mohave Valley a few days back and drove through Kingman back to Scottsdale. It felt about the same in both places tho Kingman is cooler they say.

I've always said if it's above 110 it's just plain hot, no matter whether it's 112 or 122.

gee, you almost make it seem like that's going to be a scandal or something....seems hardly "interracial" in a place like Arizona...can't imagine a problem.....

Might have a job opportunity in Kingman, AZ. For a black male 39 years young what is Kingman like for minorities? Would appreciate very honest answers.

Word is that Kingman has a "KKK and skinhead" problem BUT; I saw a Black lady eating at a place on Beale St with the word "Redneck" in its name. I don't think Kingman's all that bad for dark skin people. The town even has a Muslim mosque so it can't be that "racist".

Considering I've lived here for over 20 years, let me just say I've had more than my fair share of being called the N word, and I'm only a half Cuban/Jamacian or whatever my Dad said he was. It boggles me that the Native Americans and Hispanics here don't get dragged through the mud as much.

When I was younger it was to my face, nowadays its behind my back because people out here don't grow out of insecurities. Don't get me wrong we have a small population of blacks, but I firmly believe that the parents who believe in the "olde" ways teach their kids the same thing as I've had kids spout it out from time to time.

As for jobs, it highly depends but try to stay away from low pay/labor jobs. I'm still working my way out of this rut and that's where alot of the low IQ KKK types tend to breed. One guy that used to work in our kitchen seemed like a nice guy but had a white pride tattoo and bumper sticker and is now trying to run his own restaurant. Never had a bad run in with him but you never know these days. There was another guy strutting around Stockton hill in a swastika sweater.

Sometimes I wonder if Arizona is trying to be like the bible belt in terms of people, but instead it tries way too hard that even Alabamans want nothing to do with it lol. Then again, Phoenix was leaps and bounds better that Kingman due to its diversity just that its far too hot for me to live in.

Many American Indians here in Arizona are close to the anglo white "hillbilly" types it seems. Hispanics: I guess it depends in what color they are. The lighter skin ones in a place like Kingman will see themselves as simply "white"; playing the "La Raza" card WON'T fly there at all.

I'm def "white" with the pasty skin and red hair and, I'm getting more and more uneasy with Kingman every time I visit the place since I moved to Bullhead last year.

You're def right about the "KKK" type stuff too just looking in Wal Mart on Stockton Hill. Bullhead has its share of "odd" people but our "PWT" are better class overall.

Just curious, but why did you pick the Kingman thread? Kingman is a little town in high desert of north-western AZ, population 28,000 (give or take). It's a great little town, but not much in the way of careers for upwardly mobile young people. Will you be working? If so, maybe Phoenix is a better bet.
