I know, I know, it's the desert but I promised some friends that I'd post here to see if anyone knows any decent places.

They've been to a few that were recommended but say they were lame. They're missing Idaho.

"I know, I know, it's the desert"...

Typical comment, but look at the map, it's not all desert. 10k mountains is not desert...it won't be Idaho, but it's not devoid of fish.

Lots of fishing in AZ, depends on where you are, how far you are willing to travel.

Roosevelt Lake, all the lakes on the Salt river chain, Powell, Mead, Havasu lakes, Lees Ferry, Salt, Gila, Black, Verde, rivers....hundreds of Rim lakes and smaller lakes around the state....tons of streams with trout and other fish.

Lots of fishing here.

Tis true. Lots of fishing here. I was out on Saguaro just last Thursday. I did pretty well. It was warm and sunny. Beautiful day on the water. I'll be back out to Canyon on Tuesday or Wed. I can't wait.
