Baloney. First of all, he wasn't in the porn industry. He did videotape himself having sex, but he kept those private. Secondly, his murder was never officially solved. And BTW, it's Bob Crane.

The porn industry is strong here already so its a natural fit already. FTV, dog fart, college coeds around ASU. A lot of outdoor stuff in high tourist areas.

I'm not sure what a move here would mean? What would be the bad part? Would they be doing live shoots by family area's or something. I don't think I'd know if it were here or not to tell you the truth. Unless I partake in it, I'm unsure why it would matter. Is there a down side? Maybe image? IDK?

The only problem I could see is anti-porn zealots kicking up a huge fuss and driving it away somehow. A move here would be great and would bring a lot of needed revenue into Arizona.

Well, they are in front of the abortion clinics and birth control area's right now, I'm sure they would just add the porn to the list. The values issue is alive and well here. No avoiding that, if they desire no picketing freaks they might want to head to Vegas.

The porn industry is EVERYWHERE. If memory serves me correct it is only in that area of California where it is legal on the books. Doing photography I have read about the industry in many forums etc and I recall one story about how they tried to prosecute outside California but they could not convict due to the fact they charge them with prostitution. But the case was thrown out because it was not deemed prostitution if party A pays party B to have sex with C and C gets paid to have sex with party B. The person paying does not get sexual gratification through the transaction therefor none can be charged with prostitution. After this case porn became more wide spread throughout the country. It was an interesting story if you look for it.

I was about three blocks away from Winfield Place when this went down in June of '78. He was in the porn industry. The main suspect was tried and found not guilty. He (Carpenter) has been dead since the late '90s.

Here is a quote from Bob's son Scotty ..." I was operating the Web site www.bobcrane.com, which included a paid section that featured outtakes from father's pornographic films and videos."

Crane and Carpenter enjoyed filming their own exploits. To my knowledge neither had connections to the porn industry (sell, distribute or produce porn for commercial gain).

There were no "Web sites" in 1978.
Bob Crane wasn't in the porn industry.

Well it's not like the opening credits will have a voiceover saying "filmed in front of a live audience"...
