Any suggestions? My dad enjoys desert scenery, gambling and old historical towns.
I'd second Bisbee for spending the nights. While I really liked the cute trailers (didn't know about them) and may even stay at one, I don't think they'd be appropriate accommodations for your Dad in a wheelchair. They'd be fine for us residents on weekend trips, but THE hotel in Bisbee is: Accommodations at the Copper Queen Hotel That's as historic as it gets and it's located in the heart of town. There are other cute B&Bs.

Thanks again for the info.

My dad can walk, but he's not really steady on his feet and he uses a cane. If he's walking on a flat, paved surface, he'll do okay for a very short while. But other than that, I'd rather not subject him to anything too challenging.

When Mr Jeep and I have gone down to Tombstone on weekends, we've stayed at Katie's Cozy Cabins. It is just a very short walking distance from town center on Allen Street. Tombstone is interesting in the evening - the locals are even more interesting to say the very least. . . the stories they tell about the people who have been there for years and years and about the town itself. A lot of history. Good times.

We stayed at a disgusting Motel 6 in Sierra Vista Wednesday night and a really nice Holliday Inn Express in Tombstone Thursday night. I had looked online for possible lodging and my dad had his mind set on Motel 6....he's not particular at ALL about lodging. Well, it was gross. I should never have even told him that there as a Motel 6 there. But I survived and the next night in Tombstone was great. The Holliday Inn was only 4 years old so it was very nice. He didn't want to drive down to Bisbee. We had been driving for 8 hours each the two previous days. He just wanted to hang out around Tombstone.

Thanks for your help.
