Default restrictions in Queen Creek

My husband and I are considering purchasing a 2nd home in Queen Creek. We found a perfect home in Johnson Ranch (new construction). We have been informed that the builder will not sell to us as a 2nd home buyer. We are not sure if we are ready to retire just yet but would like to in the near future. Do most communities have this rule. Should we check out other builders or are we wasting our time?

R U sure? I bought my second home here, but I also provided documentation that I was renting out the place I was living in. I made my Johnson Ranch home my primary. If you make it your primary there may be some exception.

If they are getting tighter on the restrictions, then pick up a resale if you like the area. You can usually get one for less than new construction and much of the work you have to put into a new construction is done such as fans, landscaping, and warranty work from the builder as they never get it finished with out making mistakes.
