Don't know about amount of snow in Prescott, but Casa Grande is just one of the many cities surrounding the larger Phoenix area.

funinsunny - I've been here about 6 years. I'm not sure how much snowfall the "stats" show. I hear it used to be snowier here than in recent years. I moved from the Midwest so I was used to brutal winters. Nothing at all like that here. Last year we were really dry, and I think we only had a skiff or two of snow. And in the 04/05 winter we had rain instead of snow. I have seen a couple of pretty good snows since I moved here (as in 6-8"), but the snow had melted within 24 hrs, so it was actually kind of fun. I actually do not own a "heavy" coat like I used to bundle up in all winter long in the midwest. The nights will be pretty nippy here, but the daytime highs in the winter are usually in the 50's, and because it's dry here and not usually windy in the winter, it really feels pretty comfortable. Plus the sun is usually shining . . . and that helps immensely!
