Hoping someone can help looking to live in Arizona from Dec to April , i know busiest time of the year what we are looking for is golf course community open to all area but want to get the best possible weather want to be in an area that i can play golf most of the time. We are 52

Have researched the Prescott and Green Valley area any other suggestions looking at renting 2 bedroom home for the 4 months budget of $2500.00 month plus golf memberships

The key to our decision is the golf course community want to find a very social club are there any members of clubs where we can get 4 month membership and participate in group leagues or a club where it is easy to meet up with other people on daily basis would love to meet a group where they play daily or 5 times a week

Do not want high end golf courses just good quality course with great people and lots of activities

Would greatly appreciate any advice

Alan

Here in Arizona City there is a golf course, with a club and restaurant. House rents are about 750 a month. Apartments are cheaper. The trick is finding a short term lease.

Look at Sunsites. Ernest Hemingway loved it.

If it's Dec. to April you're looking at, you don't want Prescott unless you're specializing in snow golf. Realize that different cities in Arizona are separated by as much as 6000 ft. of elevation. That's a temperature differential of about 40 degrees. Stick with the low and intermediate deserts for outdoor comfort in winter and early spring. That means

1. Valley of the Sun (Phoenix area),
2. Pima County (Tucson/Oro Valley/Green Valley)
3. Colorado River (Yuma/Lake Havasu/Bullhead City)

The choice between those three will come down to what else you like to do with your time outside of golfing. Daytime temperatures are about the same for all.

Best advice you could have received. Steve nailed it.
