I bet you will get a job easily there again, especially at the hosiptal. I grew up near Cottonwood and I am sure the hosiptal will have openings when your house sells again. There will always be a house for sale that will fit the bill when the time comes. Keep your spirtis up and it will fall into place-

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words, I know this is not the worst thing that could happen to me but it sure has been very disapointing. This has been years of thinking about and working up the courage to move away from everything and everyone I know. An to finaly be ready to make the move only to be shot down my one person, my house is still up for sale so I have not given up.
I will continue to follow this site, it has been so helpful to me in so meny ways. thank you all Debbie |

By the way Power Surge, Cottonwood is about 3300 feet in elevation and their summers are milder than Phoenix's, plus you're exagerating on the duration of summer here, even for Phoenix. Typically summer-like temperatures are from mid May until late September/early October, with July and August being the hottest months. |

I've always said if you can survive the "booger" heat (not quite the official term) of July and August . . . the rest of the year is a piece of cake! ! ! ! ! |

Did his financing not come through, or did he just get cold feet? Either way, sometimes (and I don't want to get your hopes up) the deal can still be held together with some fancy footwork on the part of the realtors and the lender. Maybe don't give up the ship quite yet. Also, the jobs at the Yavapai hospitals are very plentiful. You should see all the help wanted ads for employees at Yavapai Regional Medical Center up here in Prescott/Prescott Valley. I would imagine that Cottonwood's hospital is the same way. I'm sure there'll be a job waiting for you down the road, too. How nice that your old boss gave you your old job back. They must really value you! ![]() |

Mike
I am about 2 1/2 hours east, just about 40 min north of toledo ohio. Gretchen VVMC was very nice, I did ask her to not hold this against me and next time i will wait to come out after the closing with cash in hand. She did tell me to let her know, so that gave me hope that if something was available at the time I could interview. I guess it pays to be a good employee, but if they had not given me back my job I believe I would of came out to AZ and just used savings to cover my mortage until the MI house sold. I would of had no other choice since jobs in MI are few and far between, now that i think about it maybe it would not of been a bad thing... ![]() |
