Default Possible move to the Parker area from Houston, Texas

I may take a job with the Arizona and California Railroad ( based out of Parker ). I've been lurking these forums for a few days, trying to make my mind up on where would be a good place to live. I keep seeing/hearing horror stories about LHC ( crime, schools, hospitals, etc.. )

I've got two kids, three dogs, and a wife. Where is a good place to raise a family? Are there any good Baptist churches around? I'm open to all ideas, but need to be a reasonable distance from Parker.

Thanks!

Britt
