That's not bad idea, who would come here looking for that? That's ridiculous.

Well would you put your name on that? People that support that have to hide who they are.

well most of the people here that hate it here are complaining about no urban scene. So warn them on the way in while they can still turn around!

I can't even believe they are coming for that. This is suburbia with great weather and nice golf courses.

When I visited, I noticed the same thing...but loved it! I've done Los Angeles and San Francisco area, and the only City in the greater Bay Area - not the Silicone Valley - is San Francisco; the rest is suburbia.

I think it has to do with personal preference, age, and priorities. Different strokes for different folks.

And I agree, people should research Phoenix before moving. This forum is not enough and the population of Phoenix is misleading to those seeking an urban life. Lots of people in a city does not always equal URBAN area.

Nothing wrong with golf courses and swimming pools Urban it is not.

Again, most cities (even sprawling primarily car-based cities) have an urban option. Phoenix lacks this. Look at Houston, for example. It is a huge, sprawling, car-dominated city. But, if you want an urban feel, there are high rises downtown and uptown. If you want to be close to nightlife and entertainment, there are town homes and loft space in Midtown and Montrose. There really isn’t that option in Phoenix, which is peculiar.

Golf course, yes.
Great weather…not from May to September.

Well honestly during its really big days, most people came here for retirement not the urban night life, probably explains it. I think in time things will change.

This is true too! Can't argue with anything negative on this forum, it's all true.
It really just depends on what you like and what you'll put up with here.
