Page, Az/northern Az Info Needed...
I am considering relocating to Northern Arizona and read that Page is a nice area to live. Can anyone give me information on what it is like to live in that area and what the rents are like and what the employment situation is like in or near Page? Also, how difficult is it to find a house to rent with pets (not an apt, condo, duplex or anything attached to neighbors).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the library and research Page! It may not be anything like you think! It's high desert, cold winters and hot summers and DRY. Quite remote and not a lot of facilities. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND SAVE MONEY AND DISAPPOINTMENT!

Ab - The Page Lake Powell area is an awesome place, I've been in the are 18 years. Rentals, at this time, are almost non-existent, especially if you are looking for the non-apartment type.
There are other small communities in the area such as Big Water, Church Wells and Clark Bench, Utah where the prices may be more affordable. These areas are also short on rentals.
Sometimes, with the downpayment assistant programs, getting into a house as an owner can the same price as renting, so that may be something you would want to look in to.
Employment is mainly in the service industries as we are a tourist based economy. That said, there are also medical clinics, the city, a power plant, a dam, that have a more steady need for year round, non-seasonal, employment.
