Default I'm from Rural Missouri

My husband & I bought 36 acres in Sierra Verde & have been recently having a small panick attack about "should we sell out & move to AZ" or should we sell out in AZ & stay in Missouri. I'm pretty much a live & let live person but I do NOT want to move from where I'm at here in Missouri to some place that I have to worry about going armed because I HAVE to. In my state I carry concealed (with a permit, of course) but it's not because I don't feel it's unsafe to go someplace without a gun. Some of the posts here make me worry that we've bought into a place that I might not want to live.

I worry about so many posts here where people feel this is so infested with druggies. I don't want involved in some place like that! I live in the boonies in Missouri & whatever mother nature has going on, I'm fine with but the drug thing is a no-go for me. Oh sure, I work with a bunch of cops & know drugs are everywhere but some of these posts make it sound like you'd better be careful who you make friends with.

I sure hope things aren't that way out there, for real. I mind my own business but I don't want to live around a passel of drug dealers & meth-heads.

Then our suggestion would be follow your heart and do not move unless you really really have to. Moving, as everyone knows is a huge venture.

And yes, you must definately and without a doubt be very careful around the Seligman area of who you befreind. We could name a bunch of names of whom to beware of (most are involved within the local fire district or closely involved with the individuals involved with the local fire district) and if they do not like you for some reason then they will try to start trouble for you just like they did for us so again, just beware who you befreind or try to help. The druggies really are not the main problems around the area, its the ones that think they are something (or all that) when in fact they are nothing at all except a bunch of wannabes.

Anyways, good luck and Merry Christmas.

The only Heather i can recall is the Heather that is in relation to the Pope's. One of thier daughters i believe. If thats the one you are referring to then i dont recall her husband ever having anything to do with the school or was a PE teacher.

I got the same call a while back. I think they were scammers. Said something about intersted buyers and what not but I told them I was not interested. How did it turn out for you??
