Plans for 1000-acre theme park in Williams will include flat rides, roller coasters, a large music pavilion, water park, castle/renissance area, Asian Gardens, 2 resort hotels, entertainment district and much more in just its first phase. Most of the West Valley park would be under a dome. The Williams site would include a Route 66 strip of shops, roller coasters, bumper cars, a Navajo learning center and a concert hall. Each year tourists venture through the Williams, Arizona area, known as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon & the park is expected to retain 5 million visitors yearly. The park will include several additional phases over time if attendance is achieved; including expansion, new attractions and roller coasters and the park in Phoenix will be 60 acres with attractions and thrill rides. Thank you for reading my enigmatic post. (enigmatic: not clear to the understanding) "I didn't grasp the meaning of that enigmatic comment until much later") " For those who understand… good and for those who don’t… think a bit more. Many will be without a place to live. Take care of your land. This is my last post.
Blessings to all. PFA |

I have received numerous offers to purchase the 2.3 acres I have in Seligman. Does anyone know if the city plans to install water and electricity to the Bridge Canyon area? Right now they're using water tanks there.

My wife and kids went to Seligman recently and fell in love with the seclusion. If anyone has some land in the Unit 12 region, please let me know. We would like to build a small cabin to escape to.

We own 40 acres outside of Ashfork, AZ. Area is called Juniperwood Ranch. It is beautiful there. In the lower part of the ranch it is flat to rolling terrain with open meadows and areas of dense junipers. Antelope roam everywhere. Our property is far up in the hills of the ranch. We have pines and junipers and it is much cooler up there in the summer (5,000 ft. elev. +). We get snow in the winter, but it doesn't take long for it to melt. We have a cabin we are finishing. There are no wells in the area. Problem is that the water table is about 700 + feet and it's just too expensive to drill. Everyone hauls their water. We have a huge water storage tank and water in town is less than a penny a gallon. You just fill up your portable tank in your truck and haul it to your property and put it in your storage tank. Some have their water delivered for a little more money. There is no electricity in the area either. Most use solar or generator. It is quiet and beautiful. In the past 3 years, the prices of the land there have skyrocketed. We have at least doubled our money......but no plans to sell........it's just too gorgeous and we love to 'get-away' up there! Seligman is about 20 miles from Ashfork. The Bridge Canyon Estates area is also beautiful, especially if you get way back up in the hills. Same there........no electricity, no water wells or public water supply........generators/solar and hauling water is how everyone goes. Gas is by propane and it is delivered. I would say that if you get way back into the Bridge Canyon area outside of Seligman, it is actually more beautiful than Juniperwood Ranch outside Ashfork. The terrain is much more gentle. However, Bridge Canyon is more populated that Juniperwood Ranch......lots of cabins, trailers. Some are real dumps, as there aren't any building restrictions......but alot are beautiful! Still plenty of open land where the owners have just bought the land as investment. The Williams theme park is a sore spot with alot of us who own land near there. We'd rather the crowds stay away. But we all live far enough out that it shouldn't be a problem and it just may make our property values rise even more.

My Husband And I Just Purchased 5 Acres In May 2006 And Have Spent Every Week-end There. Bridge Canyon Estates Is The Hot Spot For A Lot Of Lake Havasu City Residence. We Escape There To Get Out Of The Major Heat. We Love The Area And So Far All The People We Have Met. There Is Very Little There Except For Trees And Rocks. But If You Want Quite Laid Back Area To Be In, It's The Place To Be. We Have A Forever View Of The Valley And Rout 66 Back Of The Mountains. We Bought The Side Of A Mountain That Had Already Been Laid Out For A Home. We Parked Our 5th Wheel Up There And Have Started Our Water Shed..also Known As The Storage Area. The Only Draw Back To The Place Is The Lack Of Water Close By. Other Than That, If You Are Self Contained You Are In Paradise. The Area Is Not (not) On Anyone Plans Just Yet For Improvement, Though There Is Talk About Electric And Water Coming In. I Hope I Live That Long. Any Other News I Can Tell You Is There Are Lots Everywhere For Sale. You Just Need To Come And See Whats Available. If There Where A Picnic For Locals, It Would Be Made Up Of Lots And Lots Of People From Lake Havasu

Hi folks,
I own forty acres in Juniperwood Ranch. I agree with Patty and that is "don't sell". I am from Mesa and nothing could entice me to continue staying in Mesa. I don't want to get in to the negativity of it but people who live in the Southwest and border towns know exactly what I am talking about with no elaboration. We bought our property for the sole purpose of living alone off the main road. Hauling water is no big deal. Everyone does it in Ashfork. We will be building up there in 2008 and there will be problems of course. It will have to be solar power and even though configured the best with solar, you will have to run generator power until panels are added. But our neighbors Jose and Rita and Jerry and Craig are nice. I certainly did not buy as an investment at all. Solitude and the last years of my life with nature and being able to drive your car and get somewhere. This theme park I have heard about. But people need to remember it is a multimillion dollar venture, and if you know the status of theme parks right now, they are not as prolific as at one time. People don't have the money to be going to theme parks all the time at today's economc level. The parks here in the Valley have went out of business in the past. I'm sure they are thinking very carefully about it. What will make things BAD up in Ashfork is if a Wal-mart Supercenter goes in at Chino Valley. Then comes the Costco and Sam's Club and Petsmarts and a regional Mall accordingly. That defeats the whole purpose of what we are trying to accomplish up there as I have always been a small town person. I was kidding with a State Patrol in Seligman one time that "I had to wait on two cars to turn on the street to the courthouse". Why sell? You would just have to pay that much more to go somewhere else. Also, the bad thing is if property values rise a person would have to sell ten acres to pay the taxes. That is the way it works unless it is going to be continued open country without any serious building. I am worried about what can happen up there in Ashfork as the building is really going bananas in Chino Valley, 33 miles away. What do you do? I want the heck out of Mesa. It is a hellhole now. The 101 and 202 and all surface streets are loaded with traffic after 2:30PM and 6AM till 9AM. It stinks. Ashfork is my only hope to live my last years in some kind of peace even though there will be difficulties of utilities and water. |
