Rainlog is a good place to get rain totals for your neighborhood. There should be some fresh numbers up tomorrow.

Don't know what I did to deserve this... It's not like I took my car to a car wash?!
On days like this I realize I shouldn't even toy with the idea of moving (being a smoker)...
So, your hubby's coming for the interview, I take it... Good luck! Actually, back in St. Olaf before some major event (graduation, wedding, etc.) people splash water in front of the person for luck (not sure about the roots of this superstition). Maybe the rain is a good omen and you'll come back to bask in the sun, sheena!

I feel your pain... we don't even have an awning at our rental, and I don't smoke inside. It's probably better for me though. I can only get through half of one before it's too wet to smoke.

My office does have covered area in front, but we're not allowed there for "aesthetic" reasons! And we don't deal with clients on regular basis - perhaps somebody will show up once a month, if that. Oh, well, considering what other precedences have been set (and coming to a theater near you)... gotta consider myself still lucky! That'd be one of the reasons I didn't consider buying a condo because there already is such a precedence! You can't do what you want in your own home!
Hey, you'd be always welcome at my place! It's pretty rare to find "brothers in arms" you even like! For some reason fellow smokers here often are people I wouldn't otherwise like to associate with.

OH my gosh! You are right I've heard that too. Rain is goodluck. This is getting weirder all the time. The only thing that has seemed to work out so far in the last year is everything is falling into place for us to return to Phoenix. Like that other poster said......Why Phoenix? Who knows but if that's where I'm destined to be than so be it.
Oh well we'll see how the interview goes, but regardless we are headed back to broil and bake in the sun...oops bask in the sun

It's bask, bask!
See what people put up with for a little sun? "One square rear end" per person!

Oh yes yes bask that's right. I'll be basking in the sun by my pool soon. That's my major activity since I'm not into hiking in the desert or camelback mountain

It rained here in san diego county, we got over 2 inches yesteday! What a treat for a parched landscape--altho some problems due to the fire damaged hills. Still without water the burned areas couldnt begin to germinate and recover. I heard that we still have a 6 inch deficit this year, over our usual dry conditions.
