I am tossing the idea around about ,moving to kingman. After looking at property pictures, I notice nobody grows grass there. Why is that. I gathered the water rates for city of king man and they seem cheaper there than here in Texas. I can't stand the summers here with all the humidity. You can't go outside without getting ate up by mosquitos.

You can grow grass and a great garden most anywhere, its just going to take plenty of water and patience.

Even those that go Xeroscape find a maintenance issue with desert vegetation (some refer to them as weeds) that sprouts up after a storm or spring coming on.

Take a look at the golf courses plenty of grass to be had.

We are high desert 3500 ft elevation and when it snows its gone shortly and not sticking around.

Good luck on the search

Lots of folks have lawns in Kingman. Lawns cost money and effort to maintain, so it's unlikely you're going to find one on a $60K home for example.

Here's a small portion of our backyard lawn when we lived in Kingman. I don't seem to have a wider view handy or I'd show that. It's a big lawn.
