I'm an AZ citizen and for business reasons, I wish we observed it. Your statement is not completely true.

LOL, I actually skipped over that word when I read the post that I responded to. Nearly may be correct as it appears I am in the minority.

1. Some people's circadian rythms to be messed up, it's not natural for the sun to come up at 4:45 AM when we should be sleeping till like 7:30-9:00 depending on your work schedule.

2. Confusion for other places in the country/world what time zone we are in.

3. Less time for kids to have daylight to play outside and for others that work outside have to quit an hour early.

4. Everyone in the state turning their lights on an hour early, wasted energy.

5. Harder to talk to our relatives out east because we are 3 hours behind the east instead of 2 like we should be.

It's just not necessary to try and be different. I can't believe the Federal Government allows ONE state to do this for no reason at all.
Not natural? DST is what is not natural. Nature has determined that the sun will rise here when it does. It is not natural when we try to change nature.

I'm glad it's darker earlier here. I hike and walk in the evenings while the sun is setting. If I had to wait later for the sun to go down, it would interfere with my sleep/work schedule.

It is inconvenient to have the east coast 3 hours different -- they should change it, and give up DST.

I miss AZ for the no daylight saving time change. It throws your body clock and just really messes you up. Maybe it is time to abolish daylight saving time across the country. I really liked just staying on one time and when the rest of the country changed we just stayed the same. My body never felt out of wack. It does get bright early in Arizona but you have daylight pretty late into the evening as well.

It's too late. Even I think AZ should be on UTC-8 Year round (back an hour).
Who wants to be daylight at 7pm++ with 100++ degrees?

This time of year I can't wait for the sun to go down. DST would be truly awful. When I ride the bicycle back home in the afternoon it is so hot around 6pm it is hardly bearable. For me the fact that the sun does not shine as intense any more makes a big and positive difference. The last thing I want is 6pm feeling like 5pm.
