Hawk...wonder what the DMV would charge to register this...haha. That's the only thing I dread about moving to AZ. In PA where we live now (for at least 11 more days...yes, I'm counting down!!) we pay $36.00/year for registration no matter what you drive. We figure it's going to cost at least $500 for us there...YIKES!!

Yeah, but have you done a comparison on what will cost more in AZ and what will cost less in AZ?
I bet you come out ahead of the game

Here in Oregon we don't register ATV or UTV or utility trailers . We just pay a small fee at an ATV dealer, to use the backroads during the year. We don't ride the backroads during Fire Season.

I wasn't serious, Hawk.

Rambush, I have been following your comments for a few years and Kdog too. Thank you for them all. Can you say a little about downtown Kingman and the people who live on the north side of the tracks and that area where the courthouse and other city buildings are? Thank you.

The area in question is one I travel through on occasion and its a typical neighborhood with a mix of good and maybe some folks down on the luck.
It is old Kingman thus the older homes may require some updating if one was to move in, that would be where a great home inspector etc. would be able to advise on the condition.
They have just recently created a quiet zone for the trains so we have lost some nostalgia with the horns a blowing through town.
One advantage being there is access to Beale Street night time activites if one would be interested in that.

We just relocated to Kingman about 3 weeks ago and bought a home in the Rancho Santa Fe area. The only "glitch" we had was getting our car (leased) registered. It took longer than we expected and AZ is very picky about what documents they want, especially leased vehicles. However, today we finally got it registered and we're "official" residents....YAY!!

We're getting around like we've lived here forever and have found that people are very friendly and helpful. We've eaten at some great restaurants and I even went to the Quilt Show last Friday in Old Town.

When we were here in Aug. looking at homes we did take some time to look around the area but just quickly went through Old Town. Friday when I went to the Quilt Show, I took a better look at all the shops and was pleasantly surprised at how many there were. I'm going to take more time to get acquainted with that side of town. We missed the car show last weekend because we didn't know about it until it was over but I'm marking the calendar for the next one. We're avid classic/antique car lovers

All-in-all...we love Kingman and we're so glad we made the long trek from PA to AZ

One more thing....I asked the gal at the MVD today if there were a lot of retirees like us moving into the area and she said there were some but mostly they were from CA. I thought that was interesting.
