Colorado City Growth?
The last I heard, most of the FLDS were moving elsewhere (Texas and Wyoming) and abandoning the area ... is this REALLY the case or do their families continue to grow there on the border?
The city-data website (at least) shows quite a bit of growth for the little town, and if I had to guess, it's not just regular people moving in for a safe quiet community. Anyone know anything about the growth there?

The problem is, most of the homes and shops in Colorado City are owned by the religious organization. I wish Mohave County would go after them for back taxes, as you or I wouldn't get away with that type of behavior. Our property would be sold on the court house steps. Colorado City is a pretty area. The geographic location is a problem, as it is out of the way.

I've always wondered why the "Arizona Strip" is part of Arizona at all; wouldn't it make more sense to be part of Utah-- or even Nevada? The natural northern border of AZ should be the Colorado River/ Grand Canyon. It's especially silly for the extreme NW corner of the state where I-15 goes through, connecting Mesquite, NV to St. George, UT. The only way to access that part of AZ is to go through another state-- either UT or NV! Is there any other state that has disconnected pieces like that?

Babies. Babies born with genetic abnormalities dues to the constant inbreeding of 2 main families.
