This is the complement I received from a friend when I told her that I was offered a teaching position in Camp Verde. I am in the unenviable role of replacing Dawn Alice Tomko who met her untimely demise on Thanksgiving Day. I am currently living in the snow belt south of the Great Lakes, but I am starting the 2nd semester on January 7th.
I've been searching internet sites, gathering information on the area and wondering if I've made a big mistake. Evidently AZ has the lowest starting teacher salaries in the nation and as far as I can tell the highest housing costs. As near as I can figure I'll be living off the grid out of my car somewhere in the Coconino National Forest. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Staying in Penn's Woods is not an option. From the information I've gathered CVUSD needs me. So nice to be needed. I'll be there. THANX for reading this. ![]() ![]() |
