A "few" months???...gosh no. Why would you think that? |

I'm not referring to posts here (which are largely anecdotal). I'm referring to legit news sources.
Ken PS - I also think it's a bit early to tell exactly what the outcome (both good and bad) will be. |

I am not in any way saying your husband runs a bad business by saying this, there's bad and good apples in every business. You can only know by each individual business. But most collision repair businesses horribly rip people off, but hey every car service has plenty of bad apples. You should look at everything they charge you for in a collision repair, it's like a Mike Tyson criminal record. My girlfriend had a small chip of paint on her rim and her body, $1600.
If you ever go to a collision repair location, make sure you get about five estimates, don't be the sacrificial lamb and go to the first place. Whatever you do, never go to a place where the dealer suggests, big mistake. |

Since I'm part Italian, then I and/or my family must be involved in La Cosa Nostra/Mafia/Mob. Friend, you are in need of an attitude adjustment. |

The employer sanctions law is not being enforced. I have been looking hard for any story in the news about how employers are actually checking the new employees against the federal database. The companies who traditionally hire illegals know the Court of Appeals will strike down the law very soon and have basically continued to hire people just like before.
Where are the arrests? Where is the comments from the Sheriff? I bet the power elites all went into a big smoke filled room and made a deal to not enforce the law, laughing all the way to the bank! |

The schools and hospitals in Arizona are both reporting fewer illegals filling up the buildings. Someone had an article yesterday that they posted on one of the forums backing this up.
Also, this morning there was an article in the Arizona newspaper that discussed how Spanish authorities at the border town across from Yuma are trying to prepare for the illegals that are going back to Mexico without jobs or places to live. The American people have had it with these illegals and with elections less than a year away, I do not believe that most public servants will test the voters and allow the laws for illegals to not be followed. I know that I will not vote for anyone that does not support cracking down on the illegals. altus2006 |

As I said - think it's a bit early to tell exactly what the outcome (both good and bad) will be. It will be a few months before the dust settles on this thing and we see what the real results (if any) are. It takes a while to tabulate the data and draw factual conclusions - rather than heresay and anecdotes.
Give it some time people. Then we'll see: How much crime drops. How much emergency room visits drop. Home much school attendence drops. How much home/apartment vacancies increase. How many businesses are shut down. What kind of labor shortage develops. How much wages go up. How tax collection is affected. How the overall economy is affected. Ken |

That being said, I was just trying to make a stupid joke... Saying I hope the amount of car accidents don't decrease too much or my husband might be out of a job. Teehee... Wow, guess my bad joke loses even more when I have to explain it. ![]() |

I live in Arizona and I am noticing the 'Hispanics' (most of the illegals here are Spanish speaking Indians) are becoming thinner on the ground. Too; there is much less Mariachi, etc, music blaring from vehicles......the risk of being stopped for a noise violation is too great. |
