Hi. I can look at realtor.com and get a basic view of housing prices, but the property taxes aren't listed. Can anyone share a general example of their property tax and the value of the home against that tax. Are some counties dramatically more or less than others?

Thank you!

You should be able to figure it out by going to the county web site of the county you are interested in. The taxes do vary by county and city, but not drastically.

I bought my house this year for $301K, 1500 sqft, Glendale, and paid $1,100 this year. It went down a little this year from previous years. YES, it is that cheap here!!!

My understanding is that Pima county has the highest tax rate in Arizona, if anybody knows different please correct me. We pay somewhere in the mid 2,000 range, this is for a property tax to the county, my town so far does not have a property tax but its somewhere in the future.
Please understand that when you move to an area that is just building up, etc, your taxes will probably be real low, as that area is being funded by development, , at some point, if the area wants services, money has to come from somewhere, soooo , that area will either pass a property tax or increase sales tax. However its still a reaonable cost of living here, not cheap but not expensive.
