Good point... I had forgotten about that!

I still believe that law abiding people with no connection to the "industries" in question are at the same very minimal risk of being kidnapped here as in any other large city in other parts of the country.

I would think that due to the large amount of outdoor activities in Arizona, many people go missing when they strike out on solo hikes and have a heart attack, get heatstroke, etc. I hear of stories of overdue hikers all the time in the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and the Sonoran Desert. I wonder if the remaining suspicious circumstance abductions are any greater than that encountered in another state with a similar population.
