Yeah, I saw that movie too and tried to find evidence of the truth of that, but was unable to come up with anything.

That's funny, I thought of Steve-o too. Since having an exterminator spray, I haven't seen a scorpion inside or outside my house. Those nasty centipedes are another story.

Im not too sure if scorpions are repelled by lavender or not to be honest. The man youd need to ask is Tom van der Ende (Scorpions), who is incredibly knowledgeable about those kind of things (he's a scorpiologist). I suggest you contact him (contact info is on his page) and if he doesnt know, he'll know someone who does. Another wonderful source I used was Dr. Victor Fet at Marshall University (http://www.science.marshall.edu/fet/...s/p2005_30.pdf).

Scorpions have highly sensitive sensory organs under their bodies called pectines. The pectines are the little fin-like structures on their ventral side that sweep down when they walk and pick up scents, etc. It is a possibility that they might be repelled by lavender, but if they are, its something Ive never heard of in the scorpion-enthuisiast world before.
