Arizona was in the Confederacy? I must have slept through that part of history class.

Update:
Apparently I DID miss that.

Did some research.

AZ was briefly part of the confederacy until some soldiers from CA pushed the confederate garrison out in the "Battle of Picacho Peak."

Well yeeehaww Y'all - southern Arizona shall rise again!

Now we know why Kurt Douglas had a suthern accent in the movie "Tombstone.".

I wonder if we were once Japaneese - since apparently we stole the "rising sun" flag from them. LOL.

My 4th great grandfather served in the 2nd Texas Cavalry. Otherwise known as "The Arizona Brigade".

That was Kurt Russell, not Kirk (not Kurt) Douglas.

And the character he played didnt have the southern accent, Doc Holiday did, because he was from the south (Georgia I think). Kurt Russell played Wyatt Earp, who was from IL, moved to Dodge City, KS, then to AZ. Theres your history lesson for the day. lolol

Doc Holliday's family lived around Atlanta during the Civil War when Doc was a teenager, his dad was in the Confederate Army. Doc moved west after he graduated college.

In the words of Bob Dylan... " The times are a changing "

Last week the casino in Glendale was a bigger issue, so next week will the tribal
flag become an issue too

For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.
