Default Single man in Yuma

I have lived in Yuma for the past 4 years and have found it to be one of the worst places I've ever lived to be single in. There just isn't much around here in the way of 25-50 y.o. single women. If I were a single woman I would look into moving here, you will have your pick of men! Can't wait to leave.

I haven't been single for 20 years and 3 months. I would imagine that it would be tough to find a date in Yuma with all of the competition from the Marines. I can't find the site, but I remember seeing some demographics from 2004 that showed Yuma had 2% more women than men.

I've lived in Yuma, so I have some opinions about your question. I was assigned to Yuma for 3 years and I gotta tell you, I had no problem meeting nice women. I also never heard anyone complain about it either. Is it possible you were maybe not using the right approach? Some women don't respond well if you appear "pushy" or "desperate". You might try modifying your behavior and see if it helps. If you have any female friends, you could ask them if you seem abrasive. Also there are several books available that might be of help. I hope these tips help.

I am a single woman here in Yuma and I just simply can't find a single man to date. All the guys I know just simply aren't interested in dating or are so into video games that they don't have time for anyone else. I am trying to meet a guy at my church but the only response I seem to ever get is "I am not interested in girls." or "I don't want to get married or date right now." I dress nice and take good care of myself and some of the guys even complement me on my looks but just aren't interested in dating. I do have really bad allergies to all the spraying and pesticides and dust so I am just hoping to give up on Yuma all together as long as I can find a job back in Indiana. I just think Yuma is a bad place for anyone who is single because there aren't many places to go or things to do to meet nice people.

Bluebelt: Gee, never heard a woman complain about no guys in Yuma. Although, as a former single Yuman, I can tell you that I was intimidated because I used to get laughed at by ugly, overweight, hairy women so I never even tried with the attractive ones. And yes, I was a nice looking, single, slender guy with a good paycheck when I first got there. I used to head to Minnesota in the summer to visit family, and had to beat the girls off with a stick. I'd get girls chasing me down in my Jeep, groped and grabbed in bars. Then I'd go back to Yuma and have some fat Mexican chick look at me and say "what. ever."

Dangerous Dave, That was funny! I've had similar experiences here in Yuma and am from Minnesota too, where I've also never had a problem meeting women. I've met some great people here in Yuma, just not very many single women....some fatties, meth-heads, local disasters and bar skanks, but nothing you'd want to get involved with or introduce to your folks. A single guy had better bring a woman with him or do without if moving to Yuma. Thanks to my friend from MN (AZeXPERT) for messing with me... good job.
