I'm thinking of buying some land about 6 miles north of kingman off stockton hill road. the plan is to move out ther and me and my family will build our new home over the next year or so. any information on this are is it safe for teen age kids. I visited Las vegas Last year and me and the wife stopped in Kingman and fell in love with the area. when I was 15 me and my dad lived in Willow beach and installed the house boat docks that used to be there. and I have always wanted to go back. Now Life changes have freed us Up a little and we want out of florida before fallign prices and High insurance forces us to loose it all.
Any input would be appreciated |

The safest bet is to rent in an area before you buy, I lived in Maricopa AZ for about 1 month before I went crazy because it was to rural.
I thought it would be great but boy was I wrong. I bought some rental apartments many moons ago in Florida,I did not know until I moved in that it was crawling with street hookers after the sun went down. |

You're basically buying a chunk of desert out there. Not much else out there. Good access to Kingman though. I sent you a PM.

kind of what I'm hoping for i restore classic cars as a hobby and sometimes like to work at night when my son is out of school. so he gets his days free and we get some time together. If we want to work on a car at 10-11pm don't want to **** off the neighbors. so we figured get a few acres and enjoy some room. instead of my nieghbor hearing me flush the toilet now the houses are so close |

The Kingman area is beautiful. I have always wanted to locate to that area. I bought a couple of acres in Dolan Springs because the price was right. I have had a few problems out there including getting broken into twice, BUT I intend to retire there and I will be vigilant and help prosecute any and all who would break the law. Dolan doesn't have all the amenities of other cities. I have to haul my water. The nearest shops are in Kingman. Some minor irratations. I love that part of Arizona. I think Kingman is very picturesque. I look forward to the time I can relocate there.

Makes sense. You'll be talking dirt roads most likely to get out to your ranch.

Hopefully the county graders will keep the roads in good repair.

Hey, you guys out in Dolan are always complaining that your sales tax dollars don't get you any services. And now I find we're grading your roads? ![]() |

I look forward to moving out that way and little out of town space would be nice. likely just set up sometype of family compound and have my mother retire out here also. I have my Eye on a 4+ acre piece and that would give plenty of room for us all/.
