Default Info on Wenden

Any info on Wenden? Good place for wintering? Crime? Things to do within 50 miles?

Default Wendon & Salome

Hi Bryan

I like the area. I've never stayed at either one , but it is becoming a big Snow Birder area. Very quet and relaxing if that's what you want. Salome has some nice small town feel cafes and curio shops.

Wenden has Alamo Lake to the North West. Takes about 30 minute drive to get there. Camping is allowed and they have very nice modern facillities like Hot showers and such.

Cheers , Blue

Default Highway Route 60

Hi Zonababe

The Highway that runs thru both Salome and Wenden id olde Route 60 from the I-10 exit east of Quartzite and runs all the way up to Wickenburg. This was the old road before I-10 was built. Lots of old history for motoring buffs. Lots of 1930-40s Art Deco if there's any left.
