life in Bullhead City et al
Hi. Colo rez here looking (single woman and her dog) for simply: a warmer climate than Denver offers. I am outdoorsy here, Boulder, hiking all seasons but dead of winter (non skiier). Needless to say, I would be interested in exploring the CO River and other rivers in the BHC area, and so wonder. What is the winter like, rainy, in 50's or 60's and here's the scaredy cat part (we have rattlers and manage to avoid them in CO on walks and hikes), are the Mohave rattlers prevalent even in say December, Jan or Feb, March when I would be walking the river trails as they are much more dangerous bite for bite than other snakes? Big dog who is off leash a lot...even on leash, I wonder what BHC offers for the wildlife side of me! Any vegetation alive in winter down there? Also are druggies that prevalent there? How IS law enforcement doing with that situation being so close to Laughlin, there are a lot of transients, right? Ok well, been down once to LHC and did not like all the palms, no real trees for shade, just bleached out white and off white landscape and HOT, ick. Of course, that was beg of spring and already 100 deg. Awful place. I am hoping for better in winter....thanks

Look up some of the older threads on this Forum concerning Bullhead City, Kingman, etc.
Frankly; you mentioned that you do not care for LHC........that pretty much rules out Bullhead as well--------virtually identical climates.
If you are still interested in Mohave County..........take a hard look at Kingman. If nothing else; it is about 12 degrees cooler (but no real winters) than either of the Colorado River cities and too you are close to the Hualapai Mountains--------which do have trees and snow.
