Default Wildflowers, carpets of color - oranges and pinks and blues

Looks like it's going to be a great year. This last round of rain almost guarantees it.

Here's a story from today's Arizona Republic

Wildflower lovers have reason to be excited

Here's a good site to keep up on the latest wildflower status.

It HAS to be a good year! We put up with enough rain... Shoot, too bad I'll be so busy. Probably will miss them. One day, if I have time, I'll find my own pictures circa 2001, I believe... whichever was the last great year. I was driving towards Madera Canyon to look for poppies and took a wrong road. Boy, did it turn out to be the right road! Great discoveries do happen by mistake! It was literally a carpet of poppies stretching for miles!

I have a feeling it's going to be hard to miss. They'll be popping up all over the place.
