To whom it may concern:

I really enjoy the ambience of the Sierra Vista area; that stated, every time that I have tried to move there-------something keeps blocking me from doing so.

It must indeed be the latent health risks in that area, I have heard/read about the leukemia problems there as well.

Over the years; when I am 'stonewalled' time and time again from going/doing something--------'God' is trying to tell me something. And; if I ignore the vibes; it is at my own peril. Tucson is another 'no go' zone for me whereas the Phx area is OK.

OTOH: those same 'bans' generally do not apply if I am looking at either the Colorado River communities (maybe because the dangers there are very obvious and easily nullified or at least avoided) or, for that matter, the Prescott/Verde Valley sections of Northern Az.

Interesting replies. Can anyone tell me about the towns surrounding Sierra Vista? I want to know what they are like, the economy there, schools, and housing. I actually want to get property of at least 1 acre but not too big. Since I have a 11 year old I don't want to be too isolated from other kids. Please remember to include the temperatures as well... too hot is not good.

I did some research about the Desert Fever people were talking about. Does not seem to be much of an issue. According to the research most white people are not at a high risk. It mainly has to do with messing with the ground and there are ways to get around that. If you are in construction you are at a higher risk but, if you use a mask you don't have to be worried. Now I never heard about leukemia.
