Yeah, here in J-Six we have a full-on, unobstructed view of the sunset each night and a near full-on unobstructed view of the sunrise. Seems like one or the other (or both) is breathtaking more times than not. Probably not QUITE the case, but it sure feels that way.

We just came back from a week in Cochise county. We stayed in Bisbee and did day trips all around the area. We really liked the history of the area.

"is bisbee a good community for horse back riding"....I would say no. Maybe north or south of Bisbee, maybe in the Chiricahuas, north east of Tombstone. Bisbee is in a canyon, with houses built on every possible building site. If you want to ride horses, try Patagonia and the San Rafael Valley on the west side of the Huachucas.

Gemstone1 is generally right on this issue, though the south end of Bisbee would be OK for horseback riding. The reason Bisbee is not really "horse country" is because it's so mountainous. If you want to ride around that area, mules might make more sense since they are (I believe) stronger and more sure footed. The southern end of Bisbee (an area known as San Jose - down near the Mexico border) drops out of the mountains and into the valley, so it's grassland and flatter. Horseback riding would make much more sense to me.

That's my take anyway - though keep in mind that my personal experience with horses is nearly null.

Ken

Check out Sonoita and the whole Patagonia area . . . it's rolling terrain and much more suitable for horses. I have several horse friends who moved there and love it. Good luck finding your best place.
