Default Building in Show Low

Hi, we're moving to Show Low in the early summer and are looking for a builder for a small 1200 sq ft home. Does anyone know the cost of building there per sq ft? Is it a hassel to get permits there? I am wondering as an owner/builder would we be better off financially and in terms of stress just to get a manufactured home or modular and have it set up. We priced out a 1200 sq ft manufactured home, set on the land, with a septic, and paying sales taxes it would cost about $95,000. Is it possible to have a simple home built there for about the same price? Anyone connected to the building industry in Show Low? Appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks

Smile Modular home in Showlow

I have a sale agreement tp purchase K-Bar RV Resort in Show Low which is on 10 wooded acres close to the center of town. The park is a 55+ and there are both full time and seasonal tenents. IF your looking to buy your own manufactured building then you could find our park a very nice community to live in. I will be taking ownership in early Aplil 2008 and as an owner I'd dedicated to making sure that the park in well maintained and a great place to live. WE have city water/sewer and full hookups with many different sized spaces. Let me know if I can answer any more of your questions.

I live in a park in Show Low where you own the lot. It is mostly summer residents and a few children. I think you will be very happy here.

We're in the same boat. We'd love to start a home from scratch by getting a builder to do the frame, outside (block) and the roof. Then we could complete the inside as we have time/$. We've had a heck of a time getting people to return our calls or following up on promises to get back to us with information. If you do get info, please post it.
And good luck! Show Low is beautiful and a wonderful gettaway for those of us who live in the Valley.
