I am also in favor of legalization.
That's actually true, a huge chunk of the stat spikes are from people who want to try MJ but without the hassle of illegal dealings. Many of them underestimating its impact.

I don't do weed. However, I do not think anyone should ever be put in jail for its use.

I've heard that it created a pretty bad situation in Colorado (I haven't been there personally yet so I don't know). I don't vote though so my opinion doesn't matter.

I just did: I've never been there, but I've heard that there's an increase in rowdy behavior. I can't say firsthand since I haven't seen it. I will be going to Colorado for Thanksgiving though. I will make sure to report my findings back to you.

It's not legal statewide in Colorado so that's an iffy statement. The counties were given the choice and most of the rural counties that don't rely on tourism have so far held out despite seeing the positive effect it has had on the areas that do sell. Those counties and municipalities therefore do not get a share of the revenue.

Go to the 16th St Mall in Denver if you want to see rowdy and shady people that linger around. They have the free mall bus ride you can take from the Civic Center park all the way to Wewatta St.

I did vote yes in this poll. Some have asked about the full text of the bill, the link for which I posted in this related thread:

Arizona marijuana legalization discussion

And here is the link again:

https://www.regulatemarijuanainarizo...itiative-text/

There is one thing that gives me big pause in voting yes on this bill. The fact that it does in fact create a whole new department of police; yes one of the ads against is correct. More .gov when it could/should be better left to the current alcohol dept IMHO.

Oh my quandary. Do I vote against this time to wait for a better bill, or do I go ahead and make the prohibition stop now?

Read for yourself, do not trust all the ads, and then be better informed.

Yesterday we proudly stood in front of the Arizona state capitol building in Phoenix to announce the widespread bipartisan support for Proposition 205.

While a majority of Americans want to see marijuana taxed and regulated like alcohol, oftentimes our political parties have been slow to embrace this stance.

But times have changed, and we are seeing evidence of that today.

We are thrilled to announce our campaign has received endorsements from across the political spectrum in Arizona.

My main concern is the driving while high. Are there any established studies, baselines etc. like we have for alcohol?
