Default moving

Hi all, I now live in Pa and now am thinking of moving to AZ. I have bad arthritis and I hear the low humidity in AZ is good for me. I was thinking of kingman or bullhead city.
Any thoughts of the cost of living and or humidity or any other help?
Thanks.

Kingman and Bullhead probably have some of the lowest humidity levels in the country. We get a little humidity on certain days in late summer when it may thunderstorm in the afternoons, but nothing like the mid-west or east coast. The rest of the time it is extremely dry here.

Cost of living in Kingman is probably lower than Bullhead. Kingman is at higher elevation than Bullhead, so runs between 10 and 20 degrees cooler. That can be a huge difference when the temps get into the triple digits. Bullhead has more shopping and the Colorado river runs through it, which can be a feature if you like river sports. Kingman is about 35 miles from Bullhead.

Hope that helps.

My family left Pa. in 1965, and headed to Calif. There is a vast difference from those nice green forests to the desert regions. But I happen to like the desert. There's plenty to see and do. The Colorado River is a big draw during the summer. You would be amazed how many boats are on the water on weekends. There are 3 big lakes easily reached from the area you are talking about.
Mohave County is an interesting area. I own some land in Dolan Springs. I am in the process of building my retirement home there. Shopping in Kingman is a 30+ mile trip one way. The roads are pretty good and the scenery is great.
Your arthritis should enjoy the climate. It can get pretty damned hot in Bullhead in the summer. Kingman is a bit cooler. You'll climatize eventually and then you can really start enjoying yourself.
Good luck in your search for a place to relocate to.

Either Bullhead City or Kingman would probably feel better to you than your current home. Having my in-laws living in PA, I know how humid it can get there!

My brother had rhuematoid arthritis and was always better in Arizona than when he visited family members in wetter, more humid places. Just realize that those two places are VERY arrid and VERY hot in the summer.

Good luck
