Well, up here on the mountain we are starting to see them. In all the parts of AZ I've been in, I think they are best up here. Tucson would be next.

Anyways, it was nice Friday to come home from where I work in Taylor to find it nicely cooled off. The temps in Taylor are always at least another 10+ degrees. Yesterday, it started clear, but soon the clouds built to the east and just after noon or so, it broke. Not a whole lot, but enough to bring it out of the high 80's to the high 60's.

Today, it also started clear, but did a repeat of yesterday and today the hammer started to fall a bit closer to home. Saw a couple of flashes and heard plenty of boom. You know. Flash bang?

Pouring rain in Tucson right now. Big black clouds over the whole valley.

We had good soaking rains on the 2nd and 3rd but nothing measurable since then. I've seen the clouds build and rain over the Huachuca Mountains to the south and lots of rain way to the west in the Elgin and Patagonia area, but it's been dry here.

It looks like using the old 3 days 55°+ method for Phoenix, that yesterday will be the 1st day for the Valley. Our avg dewpoint yesterday was 60°, first day of the season with a 55°+ avg dewpoint, and today and tomorrow look to have avg dewpoints 55°+ as well

I got a good soaker on Saturday night on the 101 near Scottsdale Road around 10 PM or so. Ive also seen tons of lightning in the area at night. Its safe to say the monsoon is in full effect in the Valley!

Today's monsoon pic, showing highly localized rain pouring out of the clouds in front of the Santa Catalina mountains. This is one of those where they say it's raining at your house and not at your neighbor's across the street.

Guess I better make sure my windshield wipers are up to date before I come. I have to get an oil change anyway & also make sure all fluids are okay.

Right now I'm waiting on the tabs I sent for the beginning of the month. Don't know how long I'll be there but assume I better make sure my tabs are up to date. Gotta love Minnesota! They're having trouble with the systems right now - hope it gets fixed soon.

Then, bring on the rain.

Yesterday's avg dewpoint was 59°, so that makes two consecutive avg dews 55°+, and with the current dew in the 60's plus the rain last night, today will definitely be day #3

Finally got a good rain in the east valley last night while driving home! My car looks horrible today, but I welcome the rain.
